Nextpod is an imaginative story and podcast creation company founded by Jason and Carissa Weiser.
It began in 2015 with Myths and Legends®. The Weisers created their flagship scripted podcast as a hobby, never dreaming that it would become the award-winning brand it is today. In time, they left their first careers to begin a new journey through Nextpod.
Their work includes successful podcasts in arts, history, and pop culture categories, as well as partnerships in the realms of arts, entertainment, video gaming, travel, and education.

Jason is a former hospital researcher, Carissa a former professor. Today, they are storytellers bringing you narratives from worlds both real and imagined, week after week.
Since 2015, their creative process has become as unique as the tales they spin as they develop, write, and produce the award-winning podcast, Myths and Legends®, its Webby-nominated sister show, Fictional, Best of the Worst, and more. With over 350 published episodes and more than 185 million downloads worldwide, the Weisers use their combined backgrounds in literature, narrative theory, linguistics, and writing to craft imaginative narratives focused on humanity for the modern audience.
